I bought it for a Gevalia coffee maker that I received as a gift. It is a bit too large diameter at the top. Thus it does not sit down in the coffee maker far enough. I cut some of the top to make it fit and use it anyway. I will buy a different brand next time. If you need to cut one, use tin snips as it is very hard and tends to crack even though it has the screen in the plastic.)(Medelco #4 Cone Permanent Coffee Filter

I bought this so that I didn't have to keep buying paper filters. The filter cleans pretty easy and has no discoloration after 1 month of almost daily use. I have broken the handle off, but I don't really miss it. It got in the way while cleaning and I ended up snapping one of the ends while cleaning and decided to just pull it off completely. It does let some of the really small grounds through, but far less than my Bodum french press. I also grind my own coffee (a course grind) so maybe this wouldn't be an issue for some store bought ground coffee.

I recently purchased a Medelco #4 Cone Permanent Coffee Filter to replace the original filter in my Braun 10-cup coffee machine. The Medelco works fine, but is a little shorter than the original Braun filter (so if you want an exact fit this would not be your best choice).
